I worked two jobs for two
years on my debt free jour-
ney and it paid off. Write
everything you spend money
on from Star Bucks coffee to
that prescription you fill.
Start eliminating the unnec-
essary spending. Beans and
rice will replace that Big
Mac Super Size Meal. Step
two- The written budget.
This is the one thing that
truly changed my life. Writ-
ing everything down you pay
for and put a dollar to every
category until your budget
zeros out. The budget is the
key to getting out of debt.
Once you write out your
budget and you put an
amount by that category
then this is what you have to
spend for that pay period.
These will be given their
reward twice over, because
they are patient, and repel
evil with good, and spend
out of what we have pro-
vided them.

[Surah Al-Qasas verse 54]
For example if you have
$250 for groceries you can-
not spend more than that
amount and once its gone its
GONE until next pay day.
Step Three is Charity. Allah
s.w.t tells us in many verses
of the Quran to give and he
will meet our needs. For ex-
ample Allah s.w.t said in
Surah Al-Qasas verse 54,
These will be given their re-
ward twice over, because
they are patient, and repel
evil with good, and spend
out of what we have pro-
vided them. Charity is the
key to rewards twice over. If
we Muslims would take
these three things save,
budget, and charity and put
them in place we can learn
to save for what we need
and live as Allah s.w.t. com-
mands. Learn to live below
your means, save for what
you need, pay cash and give
to others. Allah s.w.t. gave
us the perfect and complete
way to live as Muslims even
in a corrupt society. Take
heed and live as he pre-
scribes and we can all live in
the western society without
devouring usury.
