In photo 2 I'm stepping back with my
dominant leg and keeping weight on
my front leg. This prevents the aggres-
sor from knocking me off balance.
Here in photo 1 it shows my attacker apply-
ing the choke. Remember when you train
with these techniques start out slow and
with little resistance. Once your comfort-
able with the movements then you can pick
up speed and your training partner can be-
gin increasing the amount of force used
when applying the choke.
Next in the third picture I am raising
both my arms up and in between his
arms until my elbows are above his
forearms. If this is done correctly his
grip should already be breaking
