In a letter to Saad bin abi Waqas, Umar Ibn Al-Khattab wrote
in the following words:

,,"I order you and the soldiers who are with you to be aware of
Allah under all circumstances as taqwa(fear and awareness)
of Allah is a better weapon against your enemy and a
stronger strategy in battle"

The topic of Taqwa is of great importance as part of the Mus-
lims creed; indeed it is a topic of great depth and thus can
entail various meanings. When I had chosen ,,Taqwa as the
theme for this second issue of the SunnahFollowers maga-
zine, I remember sister Laila telling me how a broad topic it
is. Naturally I spent a couple of days thinking about this topic
of Taqwa and its meanings, I looked over my notes from the
Tawheed classes and then the answer came to me.

When speaking of Taqwa it is largely defined by the level of
God-fearing/consciousness an individual has. By having
Taqwa we know that it causes a person to become loved by
Allah, and when a person is loved by Allah they earn not only
